Restocking the bourbon and whiskey stash with Maker’s 46 and Powers Irish Whiskey.
I tasted Powers at the NY WhiskyFest for the first time and really enjoyed this tasty whiskey. I find it more flavorful and milder than Jameson and Bushmill, generally sweet with a bit of vanilla and slight spice undertones. A tasty whiskey for a good price. I’ve had Jameson and Bushmills and Powers may be the better Irish whiskey option.

European photographer Jessica Hilltout has documented the “rag balls” found all over the world where young people have a passion for soccer, but no soccer balls. Hilltout, featured in the New York Times a while back, spent 9 months traveling the back roads of Africa, documenting through photography the passion for soccer that is virtually a religion throughout Africa. “I have always been interested in the poetic character of the small, seemingly unimportant things.” Jessica says, “To me, there is hidden beauty in the ordinary and great beauty in the overlooked.”

This is special. Me and my little boy watching Episode 4 tonight! His first and my 100th something time and I am more excited than he is. The time has come!
The company finally did something right for the holiday party. Instead of wasting money in dive bars and bad bar food, the company got tickets to the Knicks vs. Nets game tonight at MSG. Kind of fitting since our office is right across the street from MSG.
Bonus - got early entry to be courtside for the pre-game shoot around and meet the players. It’s gonna be a fun night.
